Chad Kelly – Quarterback

Quarterback Chad Kelly, 2017’s Mr. Irrelevant, suffered injuries in his last season at Ole Miss that forced him to miss his rookie season in the NFL.

Well, folks, Kelly will be back this offseason. That could be bad news for former first-round pick Paxton Lynch. Obviously Kelly has some catching up to do, but I love what I’ve seen from him on the field during his college career.

It honestly would shock me to see him stay at #3 on the Broncos’ depth chart for very long. We haven’t seen the production we should by now from Lynch. That’s really bad news when you think about the fact that he hasn’t beaten out a 7th-round pick (Trevor Siemian), and was automatically named the backup when the team signed Case Keenum, an undrafted player.

If it wasn’t for injuries, Kelly could have already made his way up the depth chart. It was also said by Head Coach Vance Joseph that Kelly was his favourite quarterback in the 2017 draft class.
