The Denver Broncos only addressed the offensive line with one player in the NFL Draft. Sam Jones, a native of Colorado is expected to compete for guard/center position. The addition of Leon Johnson makes sense the current state of the right tackle spot on the roster.

Menelik Watson’s spot on the roster is safe for now. Although, John Elway made it clear during the NFL Combine that Watson is on the roster. This can change.

As evidenced by the year’s past of Michael Schofield, Donald Stephenson, and Ty Sambrailo. Leon Johnson is in fact a player to add depth across the offensive line.

First and foremost, Johnson is a tackle. However, as Elway has shown, he loves versatility.

One trait Johnson possesses is playing guard. There’s intrigue with Johnson because of his size, but he seems a tad bit slow to play tackle at the next level. The Broncos might see him more at guard if Johnson adds a few more pounds.

Nonetheless, Johnson could a name to monitor due to the current offensive line’s history.
