Jeff Heuerman

Heuerman was considered a reach when drafted in the third round in 2016. He has done nothing to dispel that narrative. His first year was spent on injured reserve. Last year he struggled to beat out AJ Derby, Virgil Green, and Austin Traylor for playing time.

Heuerman hauled in nine catches last year for 142 yards. A third of those yards came on one catch.

Elway drafted Big-Ten All Conference tight end Troy Fumagalli out of Wisconsin in the fifth round this year. Jake Butt is also returning from his gruesome leg injury after being drafted last year out of Michigan. Time is running out for Heuerman to show what he can do to this Denver Broncos coaching staff.
