Second Round – Courtland Sutton

Wide receiver was a big issue for the Denver Broncos last season. Minus Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, the receiving corps just fell apart. John Elway put the position on notice when he drafted two wide outs during the NFL Draft. The first one we will discuss is Courtland Sutton.

The SMU wide out balled out during his college career. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the position that the team drafted. But looking more into it, I completely agree with it. The team needs a big upgrade at wide receiver and he cold be the player to do so, along with the other wide out the Broncos drafted.

If he can just improve on his route running, he will be a solid contributor to the Denver Broncos for quite some time.  A very solid player. And we know Emmanuel Sanders is excited with Sutton a former Mustang.

I can see him becoming an outside receiver in the near future. His presence should put the wide outs on the roster on notice.
