First Round – Bradley Chubb

Everyone believed that the Denver Broncos were going to get a quarterback with the fifth pick. However, the team missed out on Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, when both were drafted first and third respectfully. When the Browns ended up taking Denzel Ward, the decision became easy for the Broncos.

While I was a bit surprised at first that Josh Allen or Josh Rosen were not taken by Denver, it made more sense with Cleveland’s second first round pick. I was all in on Denver drafting the best player available. No doubt Bradley Chubb was the guy.

There have been some amazing comparisons between him and other NFL greats. Just watching his tape has me excited on when he will take the field in 2018.

Pairing him up with Von Miller is going to be a special treat. We all know how Elway loves that defense. Having Chubb on the field further solidifies the fear that they hope to instill on opposing quarterbacks.

As long as he can continue the production in the NFL, he could be a quality rusher for years to come.

Grade: A+
