The Denver Broncos have selected Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli after trading back with Seattle. How can this tight end help the Broncos?

Another need for the Denver Broncos was at tight end. With the team not bringing back Virgil Green, Jake Butt coming back from injury, and inconsistencies from Jeff Heuerman, drafting a guy like Troy Fumagalli could be exactly what John Elway needs for his offense.

The Broncos have used their fifth round pick to draft the tight end from Wisconsin. It will be their last fifth round pick as we learned that they have traded their second fifth round pick to the Los Angeles Rams.

Back to the prospect the Broncos have drafted. Troy Fumagalli is another interesting story. There are only four fingers on his left finger. He was born with amniotic band syndrome. His finger was amputated as a result. But you could hardly tell that it is an issue.

The guy can catch! I spent a few minutes looking at his highlight tape and the catches he has made are phenomenal. No matter where is position, he can find a way to catch the football.

With a lack of tight ends, this becomes a smart move for the Denver Broncos. He can do it all and Broncos Country could not be any more excited to draft him.

How will he impact the roster? I can see him starting out as a special teams player until he gets his footing in the NFL. Pairing him up with Jake Butt, who is coming off ACL recovery, will be something worth watching on the Broncos offense.

The Denver Broncos have three more picks left in this draft. It will be interesting to see how they can continue to improve in this draft. So far, they are looking scary good.
