With their first fourth round pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Broncos drafted Jewell in hopes he can provide some depth and support at the inside linebacker position. With the departure of Danny Trevathan, the Denver Broncos struggled to get any help in covering running backs and tight ends.

Josey Jewell is a player that can impact the team right away. He has the ability to sprint to the ball carrier and take him down. His pass coverage is pretty solid as well. We all know that it is an area that has been lacking.

I saw first hand when the Broncos played the Falcons in 2016. They could not cover those running backs. And with Rob Gronkowski coming back, it will be key to have a player that can cover him.
