The Denver Broncos have taken 15 recent draft picks from the Big 10. DaeSean Hamilton of Penn State is the latest. Here are highlights…

John Elway and the Denver Broncos made it a priority to bolster offensive weapons and impact. The familiarity goes back to the Senior Bowl and Mobile, Alabama. Broncos were one of the two coaching staffs who were in attendance. Hamilton is a slippery wide receiver with stick em for hands. It was not until after the Senior Bowl the stock rose for Hamilton. Broncos are making Case Keenum happy yet again.

Hamilton has tremendous catch ability. It doesn’t matter where he is located in the slot and coverage, Hamilton will get everything. A slot receiver has to be reliable. Get this, the Denver Broncos New wide receiver Hamilton caught 80% of his passes in 2017 for a first down. That’s a true slot receiver there. It appears Jordan Taylor’s and Isaiah McKenzie’s spot is seriously in jeopardy right now.

Cody Latimer and Bennie Fowler found teams which left good open spots to be filled in the NFL Draft. The Broncos seem to add better quality wide receivers at any point in Elway’s tenure. Hamilton is a player that can contribute on special teams and be a number three.

He’s an explosive player.

This was a huge year for John Elway and the coaching staff while attending the Senior Bowl.

The Senior Bowl boasted arguably the best offensive talent in recent years. Baker Mayfield attended there along with Josh Allen.

However, the wide receiver corps was one of the deepest positions in the class. Hamilton, of all the players there, became one of the biggest risers during those practices in Mobile. One thing is certain, the Denver Broncos made the wide receiver position one of the top groups to focus on in the draft.
