Offensive line was a Broncos priority but so was drafting an heir for Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in the NFL Draft. Here is Courtland Sutton.

The Denver Broncos didn’t select the player many thought would be there. With the 40th pick in the second round, the Broncos chose wide receiver Courtland Sutton. Sutton is a tall wide receiver that makes plays in the red zone.

He has a terrific catch radius and strong hands to be a dynamic weapon for a quarterback. Catching one-handed passes is an art and Sutton does it better than anyone in the NFL Draft class.

John Elway and the brass goal is to make it a priority to add quality talent that can make an immediate impact as soon as possible. Sutton steps in as the number three wide receiver.

The Denver Broncos lost Cody Latimer and Bennie Fowler in the offseason. Sutton, on tape, might be better than both of them right now.

Furthermore, Courtland Sutton is also player that will step in and be a potential replacement for Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. It now presents a very spectacular scenario for the Broncos.

The team can move Thomas or Sanders into the slot. Thomas is more possession, but still has the physical presence to be effective. If Sanders moves to the slot the offense could explode. Sanders is elusive to the point no player can cover all three wide receivers.
