Offensive line

Ever since Peyton Manning’s last ride in the 2015 season, the Denver Broncos struggled to find continuity on the entire offensive line. There some players in this draft that can make an immediate impact day one or as a developmental talent. In fact, a few might be taken in the first round.

1). Quenton Nelson – Nelson is in consideration for the fifth pick and it is very easy to understand why. He is a very strong and athletic guard that can play numerous positions. However, Denver would draft Nelson to be their right guard. Remember, the expectation is Ronald Leary will be moving to left guard.

2). Will Hernandez – If the Denver Broncos do decide to trade down (a distinct possibility), Hernandez would be a terrific consolation prize. There are connections that indicate Hernandez is made for Denver. Hernandez is a strong human being that moves people with a passion. There are also not many guards that are as athletic as Nelson and Hernandez.

3). Isaiah Wynn – A true guard who can also play some tackle, Wynn is a strong player that can pull and move well. There’s not a good deal of weakness in his game. The only difference among Wynn, Hernandez and Nelson is that athleticism.

4). Alex Cappa – A developmental player with a fierce personality that can play tackle. John Elway has shown confidence in picking players with versatility. Cappa would be a great pick in the later rounds.

5). Austin Corbett – Corbett is a player to monitor right now. He’s garnering plenty of buzz, moving up draft boards. Corbett is a very athletic tackle, but is being asked to move to guard. Due to injury history at Nevada he may be best suited to consider the move.
