Denver Broncos take Bradley Chubb, get best player in the draft
The Denver Broncos stayed at pick number five overall, and got the best player in the draft, North Carolina State DE Bradley Chubb…
The Denver Broncos have a steal with their top pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, snatching up North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb.
Chubb is a 6-foot-4, 270 pound defensive end who ran a blazing 4.65 second 40-yard dash with 24 bench press reps at 225 pounds.
In addition to being an athletic freak, Chubb has been consistently one of the most dominant defenders in the ACC over the past two seasons, and one of the best pass rushers.
We all know how much John Elway loves to collect pass rushers.
Here’s a quick look at Chubb, who is also known as one of the hardest workers in the 2018 NFL Draft class:

Chubb talked prior to the Draft about how ‘crazy’ it would be to play with Von Miller. It’s so crazy, it just might work…
I wrote a month ago about the chances the Broncos would be able to get Chubb, and at the time, it seemed like a pipe dream at best. The fact that the Browns let him go past the fourth overall pick is incredible to me, considering they had the chance to pair him with Myles Garrett.
This is a great pick for the Broncos, who get another big time defensive front player that will consistently get a rush on the opposite side of the field as Von Miller, and they also have a ton of flexibility now with so many different players they can put on their front.
Chubb can play inside, outside, and he can set the edge as well as he can close on the quarterback.
Over the past three seasons at N.C. State, Chubb racked up 25 sacks and 54.5 tackles for loss.
This guy is a monster.
Welcome to Denver.
