1. Cleveland Browns: Sam Darnold, QB, USC
2. New York Giants: Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
3. New York Jets: Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
4. Buffalo Bills (from Browns): Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
In this scenario, the Buffalo Bills trade up to the fourth overall pick (likely having already moved up to the sixth overall pick) and swap spots with the Cleveland Browns, who do yet another team looking for a quarterback a favor.
But here, instead of taking Chubb, the Broncos take UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen.

Rosen spent two days in Denver, and is the only reported prospect to have had a face-to-face meeting with President/CEO Joe Ellis.
Would the Broncos do that simply to cross Rosen off of a list?
Maybe.
But Rosen also fits Elway’s recent description of a quarterback who is more ‘cerebral’ and is the most pro-ready quarterback in this year’s draft.
If Elway were able to take him here, he could prove to be a big time steal as the fourth quarterback off the board.
It’s important to note that many more scenarios exist. We didn’t even look at scenarios where the Broncos take Denzel Ward or Quenton Nelson with the fifth overall pick.
They could also trade down with Buffalo, and still wind up getting a quarterback like Rosen either at pick 12 or by trading up again themselves, while still having those extra picks.
There are so many ways the Broncos can manipulate this draft, and there are many scenarios that could yet be presented to them we haven’t thought of yet.
