In this scenario, the Broncos have another interesting player left on the board for them.

With quarterbacks going 1-2-3, the opportunity is there for them to take Penn State running back Saquon Barkley.

Barkley is arguably the most dynamic playmaker in this year’s draft.

When you look at positional value in the draft, it’s hard to justify the short shelf life of a running back with as much guaranteed money as you pay to a top five selection, but Barkley is worth the price of admission.

In addition to being a productive all-around back (and returner when called upon) at Penn State, Barkley has one of the best work ethics of any player in this draft, and has big time intangible qualities.

He’s been operating as a professional for years, and he makes the game look too easy at times. He’s only getting better.

In this scenario, the Broncos pass on Josh Rosen and take Barkley.
