Chris Harris Jr

From the slot, Chris Harris Jr had a down season compared to the incredibly high bar he set. Out of 34 qualifying slot corners, Harris is ranked 15th in success rate. He did, however, have the second most qualifying slot routes to use in analysis.

Out of the 94 slot routes, he only had 27 losses for a success rate of 71.28%. In terms of receptions, Chris Harris Jr allowed 19 catches on 41 routes for 269 yards and two touchdowns. A completion rate below 50% is still superb, but we all know Harris can perform even better than that.

Within Wharton’s breakouts, he included detailed route information. This route breakdown provided more details on Harris’s wins and losses. Nearly a third of the yards Harris allowed came on crossing routes.

In case you didn’t know, crossing routes can be extremely difficult to cover as the defender needs to not only cover their man, but they need to navigate through middle of the field traffic as well. Harris allowed six catches for 75 yards on crossing routes. Despite a down year, here is what Wharton had to say about Harris’s performance.

"He ranked second in my B/R slot rankings in part because of a slight dip in terms of yards after the catch allowed, where he gave up 130 on the year, which was second-most from the slot position."
