The Denver Broncos will be adding some key players to their team by way of second round tenders. Matt Paradis and Shaquil Barrett will sign.

The Denver Broncos will have two key players on their roster for the time being. Matt Paradis and Shaquil Barrett will be signing their second round tenders. Paradis has already signed his tender on Friday. Barrett will be signing his on Monday.

There is still a chance the two players could be signed by another team. But the Broncos would have a chance to match that deal, if they so choose. If both players sign with another team, the Broncos would get two second round draft picks in this draft.

However, I do not see that happening. But the biggest issue will come next season. Both Matt Paradis and Shaquil Barrett will become unrestricted free agents in 2019. I believe that the Broncos will find a way to keep Paradis around for a long time. This season could turn into a competition between Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett.

The Denver Broncos will need both of these players if they plan to be successful in the 2018 season. Matt Paradis is one of the most consistent members of the offensive line since he joined the starting lineup in 2015.

Shaquil Barrett has been one of the intriguing surprises as far as undrafted free agents go. He was on the practice squad in 2014. Barrett impressed head coach Gary Kubiak in 2015, which earned him a spot on the 53-man roster. Since then, he has not relinquished that spot.

2018 will be a huge year for both of these players. For the moment, I see the Denver Broncos bringing them both back. But they have to perform well to lock in their orange and blue jerseys for 2019 and beyond.
