Every training camp, the Denver Broncos have a joint practice with a team they face off against in preseason. The Chicago Bears come to town in August.

It is no secret that joint practices are important for NFL teams. The Denver Broncos normally construct these practices with teams that they play in week two of the preseason. This season, the Chicago Bears will be coming to town.

The team announced that they will be hosting the Chicago Bears for joint practices. The teams will practice on August 15th and 16th. A couple of mid season practices will conclude with the preseason matchup on Saturday August 18th.

This will be the first time the Denver Broncos have not hosted a team other than the San Francisco 49ers since 2014. This will also be the fifth time in the last six years that the Broncos have hosted the joint practices.

Some familiar faces that will be arriving from Chicago are Danny Trevathan and Bennie Fowler. Trevathan was the inside linebacker opposite Brandon Marshall for many year until he moved to Chicago after the Super Bowl season.

Bennie Fowler was just recently signed by the Bears. The Broncos decided not to tender him, which made him an unrestricted free agent.

Both the Broncos and Bears will be intriguing to watch this season. Both teams are coming off disappointing 2017 campaigns. The joint practices might go a long way in seeing which team is more ready to take that next step.

I believe that both of these teams will give it their all when they practice and play against each other. It should provide quite the week when both these teams face off in the dog days of August. It will be during this week where we see which team makes the most improvement.
