3. Tackle/Guard

The Broncos traded a sixth round pick to get Jared Veldheer, and they plan on inserting Connor McGovern into the starting lineup at right guard.

With that being said, this is an area the team lacks some clarity at beyond 2018.

That’s where the 2018 NFL Draft would come into play, where the Broncos have four picks in the top 99 to potentially utilize on addressing this particular area of need.

I think the ideal situation for the Broncos would be to get a player that could play either guard or tackle well, and someone who could take over for Jared Veldheer if he doesn’t play well enough this year or stick at right guard if Veldheer is a hit.

There are a number of players in this year’s draft who could fit that description for the Broncos, and one player in specific who makes a lot of sense is Texas’ Connor Williams.

The Broncos also really like Quenton Nelson, the guard from Notre Dame, and UTEP’s Will Hernandez, who has a huge advocate on the Broncos’ coaching staff in Sean Kugler.
