2. Quarterback

How high of a priority is the quarterback position to the Broncos?

Well, they spent $36 million in free agency on Case Keenum, and they also have shown high interest in the top four quarterbacks in this year’s draft class.

Aside from a road trip to Southern California to see Sam Darnold throw in person with a private workout, the Broncos have had Josh Rosen, Josh Allen, and Baker Mayfield to the facility, in that order.

The order of their appearance at Broncos HQ could mean absolutely nothing, or absolutely everything.

Mayfield’s two-day visit intersects with day one and two of the Broncos’ first offseason workouts.

Rosen was the only prospect whose visit reportedly included face time with Joe Ellis.

The Broncos have not brought any other projected top five picks to Dove Valley for official visits, save for the quarterback position.

With Keenum signed on for two years and Paxton Lynch’s future with the team looking grim, the Broncos could see this position as one of their top areas of need going into the draft.
