Mock Draft

If the Broncos were able to pull this off, it would be a colossal manipulating of the draft. Teams get desperate when it comes to the quarterback position, but the Broncos — for whatever reason — do not appear desperate at all.

These moves would give the Broncos the 9th, 22nd, 40th, 65th, and 99th picks in the top 100. They could realistically come away with a haul like this:

9th overall: Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
22nd overall: Will Hernandez, OG, UTEP
40th overall: Lorenzo Carter, EDGE, Georgia
65th overall: Anthony Averett, CB, Alabama
99th overall: Josey Jewell, LB, Iowa

The Broncos could then use their four remaining picks to fill some areas that need depth on both sides of the football, and here they would have gotten five impact players and potential starters with each pick.

This would be a wild scenario and something we haven’t really seen John Elway do before as far as moving down and then up again, but it would be an ‘eat your cake and have it too’ kind of deal for Denver.
