Here’s a 2018 Denver Broncos mock draft scenario that is so crazy, it just might work. Could the Broncos actually pull this off?

The closer we get to the 2018 NFL Draft, the more the mad scientist inside of me starts to break free.

On Monday night, ideas were swirling in my head of scenarios where the Denver Broncos would trade down in the 2018 NFL Draft, and still — somehow — find a way to come away with one of the top quarterbacks on their board.

Crazy, right?

Maybe it’s not so crazy…

As I played out these scenarios in my head, I was thinking it might be too far fetched of an idea to share with the readers of Predominantly Orange, and then I woke up and took a look at NFL.com Draft Analyst Daniel Jeremiah’s latest mock draft, which featured the exact scenario I laid out in my mind.

Jeremiah’s mock draft has a top four of Sam Darnold, Saquon Barkley, Baker Mayfield, and Bradley Chubb. I was discussing this scenario with a friend of mine, and the thought crossed my mind that not only one, but possibly two quarterbacks could be on the board when the Broncos pick.

That could be part of the reason they are looking to trade down.

With a couple of teams possibly in the bidding for a quarterback behind Denver, I came up with this wild mock draft scenario, and I think you’ll enjoy it, even if it’s a long shot to actually happen.
