D.J. Chark heading to the Denver Broncos in the second round

For the Denver Broncos’ second-round draft pick, McShay has Elway taking LSU wide receiver D.J. Chark. Similar to Ward, Chark had an explosive combine with a 4.34 40-yard dash and a 40 inch vertical. His size is also fantastic as he measured in at 6’3’’ and 199 pounds.

Here is what McShay had to say about the Denver Broncos selecting Chark.

"Chark can take the top off a defense (4.34 40 at combine) and has had a great postseason process."

I will not deny the Broncos need better production at the number three wide receiver position, and Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are getting older. I just don’t believe Denver will use a second-round pick on a wide receiver after using a third-round pick on Carlos Henderson last year.

As Predominantly Orange writer Cameron Parker noted, Carlos Henderson could be a great number three wideout if he can stay healthy this season.

It’s more likely that depending on his the first round plays out, Denver goes with off-ball linebacker, cornerback, or guard with their second pick.

There are multiple guys projected to go late first or early second that Denver could be interested in. Leighton Vander Esch, Isaiah Oliver,  Donte Jackson, Fred Warner, and Will Hernandez are all possible targets if available.
