Former UCLA quarterback and Denver Broncos draft prospect Josh Rosen said he wants to win more titles than Tom Brady. And why not?

We already know that UCLA quarterback and Denver Broncos draft prospect Josh Rosen doesn’t like the New England Patriots.

That personal fact may have elevated Rosen to the top spot on many Broncos fans’ draft boards.

Rosen also said in a recent interview with ESPN that he would like to finish his NFL career with more championships than Tom Brady.

Because, why not?

"I want to be great — in everything I do. As far as football, I always looked up to Kellen Moore of Boise State. I thought it was the coolest thing that he was the winningest QB of all time. I thought that was a cool word: winningest. So I want to be the winningest QB in NFL history. I want to win the most games and most championships. I’d say six titles, but if Tom Brady gets six, I’ll say seven.Josh Rosen to ESPN"

The entire interview was quite excellent, and should be read by everyone. I do not know Rosen personally, but I’ve listened to a large number of his interviews this year and he has completely sold me on him as just a guy.

Not only is Rosen well-spoken, he seems like a very intelligent, driven person. He also seems motivated to prove people wrong, which I absolutely love.

You’ve got to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder in the NFL.

It seemed to work out pretty well for Aaron Rodgers.

If Rosen is the fourth quarterback selected in this year’s draft, even if he’s still a top five pick, I feel like he will carry a giant chip on his shoulder.

If you read that entire interview with Rosen, I think you’ll come away impressed. This is a young man who clearly cares about winning, and winning a lot.

What more could the Broncos want out of their first round pick? Obviously they would be getting a great player with someone like Saquon Barkley, Quenton Nelson, or whomever else they might choose with that pick.

But to my knowledge, none of those players has a disdain for the Patriots, and none of those players has specifically set beating Tom Brady in titles.

I really, really like this guy.
