Denver Broncos doing extensive work on top four quarterbacks

Sam Darnold, USC

– Attended Cotton Bowl (John Elway, Gary Kubiak, Matt Russell included)
– Met with Darnold at Scouting Combine
– Attended Darnold’s pro day (Western regional scout Darren Mougey; no Kubiak/Elway/Russell)
– Flew to Los Angeles for private workout with Darnold (Elway, Kubiak, Russell, Stark, Vance Joseph included)

The Broncos, to our knowledge, have not scheduled Sam Darnold for a pre-draft visit to Denver, but they just recently flew to Los Angeles to privately work him out.

It seems a number of teams are doing this specifically with Darnold and not necessarily with other prospects, which is interesting.

It could ultimately mean nothing, but as of this posting, the Broncos have not reported that Darnold will visit the team in Denver, which could wind up being significant.
