Eric Decker is getting recruited to come back where it all began with the Denver Broncos by two wide receivers on the current roster…

The Denver Broncos drafted Eric Decker in the 2010 NFL Draft. Decker grew over the years under his rookie contract becoming a vital piece of an offense with Kyle Orton, Tim Tebow, and Peyton Manning.

Decker didn’t reach 1,000 yardsuntil Manning came along. It was upon Manning’s arrival Decker truly defined himself as a number two wide receiver.

Decker hit free agency for the first time in 2014 and signed with the New York Jets.

In 2017, Decker joined the Tennessee Titans. With both the Jets and Titans, Decker solidified himself as a very reliable option, even if he was relegated to a third receiver role.

Now, Decker hits free agency once again and a familiar face is recruiting him back to Colorado.

Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker are close friends. It was evidenced  in the reality show with Decker and his wife on the E! Network. One would assume they remain in closecontact.

Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders made their pitch to John Elway on Thursday night. NFL recruitment doesn’t always come fruition, but familiarity is intriguing.

Even before the recruitment tonight of Thomas and Sanders, Decker made his intentions felt about returning to Denver on a radio show with Brandon Stokley. Here’s what Decker said:

Despite the visit with the Ravens, Decker has made it known about returning to Denver. He visited Denver, Colorado but not the Broncos. Thomas and Sanders have now done their part. It’s up to John Elway to concede and sign Decker.

Signing Decker is not just a sentimental move for the Broncos — it makes football sense. The team needs an experienced third receiver with a number of young receivers on the roster, and Decker has  transitioned to playing a significant number of his snaps in the slot.
