The Denver Broncos reportedly hosted linebacker Keishawn Bierria for a pre-draft visit. Bierria is a projected day three draft pick…

The Denver Broncos continue to host top 2018 NFL Draft prospects for pre-draft visits. According to a report from Mike Klis, the team hosted Washington Huskies linebacker Keishawn Bierria for an official visit on Tuesday.

Bierria was a starter on a full-time basis the past three years for the Huskies, and has started dating back to his redshirt freshman season when he started four games.

Here’s Klis’ report:

Bierria isn’t an overly exciting prospect in terms of flashy athletic ability or wild production, but he has been a model of consistency while at Washington.

He played in 54 games at Washington, racking up 242 career tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and eight fumble recoveries.

Washington had one of the best defenses in college football, certainly the PAC 12, over the past couple of seasons. Bierria has a ton of in-game experience, is a high character player, and could fit right in as an inside linebacker in the Broncos’ 4-3 defense.

Right now, his draft range is projected to be in the late day three area. The Broncos have picks as late as round five, so they could potentially take Bierria around there. Otherwise, they could still possibly acquire more picks via trading down, or trading other players currently on their roster for more draft capital.

Bierria is the 12th reported official pre-draft visit for the Denver Broncos. He’s also the third off-ball linebacker to come to Denver to visit the Broncos. As we are now just three weeks out from the 2018 NFL Draft, these visits should be more frequent.

Obviously a lot of the attention right now is on the quarterback position, but the Broncos are also going to be in the market for starter caliber players at linebacker, possibly guard, running back, and tight end.

Bierria could be a sleeper that fits the mold of a more unheralded player the Broncos have been able to unearth in the later rounds.
