Fifth Round (149th overall): Jordan Lasley, WR, UCLA

Why Jordan Lasley?

When you draft Josh Rosen early in the first round, you give him some toys to play with in the future.

Why not give him a player he is familiar with from his time at UCLA and help him develop in that way?

Lasley is not without merit as a prospect at this juncture of the draft. Some feel like he has the upside to be picked on day two of the draft, but there are off-field concerns that could prevent him from getting picked high enough.

He had a big 2017 season with Rosen, connecting on 69 passes for 1,264 yards and nine touchdowns without even playing the full year.

He has great deep speed and could develop into a number two type of receiver in the future. In a draft that doesn’t have a lot of top-end guys at the receiver position, I like the idea of a high upside player like this on day three.
