First Round: Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA

Why Josh Rosen?

The Broncos signed Case Keenum to a pretty iron-clad two-year deal, but Keenum is going to have to prove himself to earn the long-term trust of any team in the NFL. If he doesn’t work out, the Broncos can find their way out of the contract a little early, eating a sizeable dead money hit.

If Keenum plays well, the Broncos can continue using him into 2019, or trade him for a King’s ransom.

Worst case scenario, you would have a situation here where you get the player I believe to be the most pro-ready quarterback in the class and if you had to trade him a couple of years down the line, that’s a possibility.

Best case scenario? Rosen becomes the long-term franchise quarterback of the Denver Broncos.

He has all of the tools mentally and physically, and he could honestly step in and start this year for whatever team drafts him. I would love if Denver could snatch him up at number five overall.
