Chad Kelly- If the Broncos Draft a Quarterback

My thought process on how Chad Kelly could be impacted by the Broncos drafting a quarterback is a bit more clouded. In one way, it will come down to how he will perform in training camp and preseason. There he could control his own destiny on his status with the Broncos.

In another way, it may not make much of a difference. If Paxton Lynch does well, we could see Chad Kelly placed on the practice squad. That will be definite if the Broncos do draft a quarterback at number five.

If the Broncos decide not to draft a quarterback in the first two rounds, Kelly could still see himself end up on the practice squad if Vance Joseph wants to only have two quarterbacks. That is where his performance comes into play. If he wants to have a spot on the roster, he will need to beat Paxton Lynch.

If the Broncos do not draft a quarterback until later and trade Lynch, I see a situation where Chad Kelly enters camp as the second string quarterback.
