In a trade that could improve the offensive line, the Broncos and Cardinals have approved a trade that will send Jared Veldheer to Denver.

The Denver Broncos are in dire need of improving the offensive line. They might have solved their problems at right tackle (knock on wood) with their latest trade for Jared Veldheer.

The Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos have agreed on a trade that will send the veteran tackle to the Mile High City. In return, the Broncos will send the Cardinals their sixth round draft pick.

Not a bad swap for what appears to be a solid addition to the Denver Broncos offensive line. A line that was horrendous for the past few seasons. This was exceptionally true for the last two season.

Right tackle was the biggest issue for the Denver Broncos for quite a few years. We have seen Michael Schofield, Donald Stephenson, and Menelik Watson play the position and struggled in a big way. Hopefully, having Veldheer on the active roster can help solve some issues at the right tackle spot.

With this move, I believe that the Broncos are just a left guard away from a solid offensive line. Look for them to look at this position via the draft. This is where Quenton Nelson or Will Hernandez could come into play in the first round. Perhaps second round if Denver is lucky.

Having a line that could really protect new acquired quarterback Case Keenum will be key in the pursuit for the playoffs. Matt Paradis, Ron Leary, and Garett Bolles are a solid unit by themselves. If they can get a solid right tackle and left guard, this could go a long way into a possible playoff spot.

John Elway has been known for big time late free agency acquisitions. He might have hit the ball out of the park with this one.
