Second Round (40th overall): Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame

Speaking of quality starters on the offensive line, I would love for Denver to be able to add Nelson’s teammate Mike McGlinchey in round two.

There are a lot of people talking right now that McGlinchey won’t play on the left side in the NFL, that he is a much better fit for the right side, and as a result, he’s sort of dropping down boards a bit.

I would gladly take him here in round two, solidifying the front five and giving Case Keenum the best possible group of linemen to protect him as well as a bunch of really tough guys who can pave the way for the Broncos’ running game.

McGlinchey was the benefactor of Quenton Nelson at Notre Dame, but make no mistake — he is a good player in his own right.

He’s got great size for a tackle, good length, and he is known as a  team leader. When you look at a possible line on paper of Bolles-Nelson/Leary-Paradis-Nelson/Leary-McGlinchey, you can’t help but get excited.

This would fill the Broncos’ second biggest need.
