The fifth day of the new league year has arrived. Von Miller, Emmanuel Sanders, Brandon Marshall, and Darian Stewart will return to the Denver Broncos.

It is now the fifth day of the new league year. For four Denver Broncos players, it was the day that they were hopefully waiting for. Once 2 PM MST hit, the options were picked up.

Von Miller, Emmanuel Sanders, Brandon Marshall, and Darian Stewart were all “officially” added to the Denver Broncos roster when the team picked up each one of their options. For Sanders, Marshall, and Stewart, their guarantees go into effect for this season. Von Miller will be guaranteed to be in Denver for at least two more seasons.

As for the price of the guarantees, Miller will have $9 million guaranteed. Sanders will have $6.9 million coming in for 2018. Stewart will have $4.5 million this season. And Marshall will have $5 million due to him.

Having these four guys back in the mix for at least one more year will really help. Brandon Marshall has become one of the best inside linebackers in the game. Emmanuel Sanders becomes a weapon for Case Keenum to throw to. Von Miller is Von Miller. And Darian Stewart does give some veteran presence in the No Fly Zone.

With all of the guarantees, I am interested to see where John Elway goes from here. As of right now, the Broncos still need help at the tackle position and at tight end. One name I would keep an eye on for the tackle spot is Cameron Fleming. The former Patriot could get the job done at a position that has faltered in recent years.

Best chance at tight end, in my opinion, is the draft.

We are excited, however, to have Miller, Sanders, Marshall, and Stewart back into the mix. Their leadership could lead Denver to another Lombardi.
