The Denver Broncos have traded Trevor Siemian to the Minnesota Vikings. As much as he wasn’t liked by plenty, he did his best during his time.

When I think of Trevor Siemian, I like to think of Matt Saracen from Friday Night Lights. When the star quarterback went down, he did his best to lead the team to win week after week. The situation with Siemian did not follow in that same path. But in my eyes, it felt that way.

I remember him taking his first snap in Pittsburgh, a game I attended in 2015. While it was only a kneel down, it made me wonder what was in store for him once Peyton Manning called it a career.

Sure enough, after his retirement and Osweiler’s dash to Houston, Siemian was the only quarterback left on the roster. The biggest surprise of the 2016 Training Camp was seeing Siemian win the job.

Things were looking up for Trevor Siemian. But, they came crashing down. It soon turned into Broncos Country locking horns with one another and them shouting for him to be benched. Seeing all of that reminded me of Saracen’s benching.

All of that aside. Give him all of the criticism that you want. All of the hate. But there is one thing that you cannot deny. Trevor Siemian handled all of the hate, all of the criticism, with class. He only went 13-11 as a starter. But he did try his best to do what he could. Not to mention the position was in shambles when Brock Osweiler left.  Circumstances rushed Siemian to the role.

Trevor Siemian did not have the best hand. And he did not always perform well. I know I had a few grips with him. But he made with what he had. I know I will be one of a handful of people who like Siemian. But I seriously do wish him the best of luck in Minnesota. Hopefully he can find success.
