What if… Case Keenum Works Out for Denver?

As mentioned before, the Broncos and Case Keenum will be together for two years at most. This is the perfect deal for him to prove that he can repeat his 2017 performance.

If Case Keenum can perform well in those two seasons and lead Denver to the playoffs, we might see the signal caller around for a while. The only way I can see this happening is if the Broncos get at least to the AFC Championship Game one time during that two year span.

It is asking a lot. But he was able to get to the NFC Championship Game in his only year with the Vikings. Stranger things have happened.

If John Elway believes this quarterback can fix the solution at the position for the next six to nine years, I would say take a shot at it. Keenum is 30 years old. That gives him some time. We’ve seen John Elway play to 38, Peyton Manning to 39. It is not impossible to play into your 40s as a quarterback.

If Keenum can give Denver two solid years, I can see it happening. And with the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders young at the quarterback spot, it would be nice to have that trusty veteran win some gritty games in the AFC West.
