According to a report from Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post, Denver Broncos defensive tackle Adam Gotsis has been arrested on a 2013 rape charge.
According to Jhabvala’s report, Gotsis surrendered on March 7th to Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, and was released on a $50,000 bond.
There are some more details here in Nicki’s post…
This is certainly some shocking news, devastating news at that.
Gotsis is coming off of a very solid second season with the Denver Broncos, and the former second round pick is expected to be a starter in the Broncos’ defense. The Broncos released a statement in regards to his current situation…

Unfortunately, this is not even the first member of the Broncos’ 2016 draft class who has been accused of something incredibly serious.
Will Parks was arrested last June on a domestic violence charge, which were later dropped.
Gotsis’ situation will obviously be monitored very closely by the Broncos, and if there’s any hint of truth to it, I would imagine he would be cut very quickly.
Regardless, this does not reflect well of the Denver Broncos, who have had some of the most arrests and legal issues of any team in the league the past 15-20 years.
Gotsis was a second round pick of the Broncos out of Georgia Tech back in 2016. He finished last season with 41 tackles and two sacks.
According to Troy Renck, no charges have been filed. It’s likely we’ll hear a lot more about this situation in the coming weeks as more details come to light. We will be sure and keep you updated on the latest.
