After making the two picks they did in the first round, and with the moves made in free agency, the Broncos would have ultimate flexibility throughout the rest of the draft.

They could take a top playmaker with their first second round pick, look to the defensive line, or the linebacker position.

With as many picks as this scenario would give them, there would be no end to the possibilities. They could trade a pick or two for future selections and build their draft capital for next year.

One player I really like is Sony Michel of Georgia, but taking a back really high is dependent on how the Broncos feel about their current top duo of Devontae Booker and De’Angelo Henderson. It’s entirely possible they’d be more than confident in those guys, and could use these picks elsewhere on the roster.

Since this is a dream scenario, let’s say the Broncos came away from the second round with Sony Michel and his Georgia teammate, the exciting edge player Lorenzo Carter.

Then in the third round, with three selections, the Broncos address their inside linebacker spot, as well as add some more depth to the offensive and defensive line.

This would be a draft haul to end all draft hauls. It would truly allow the Broncos to key in on players they feel can help them both now as well as later, and would go a long way toward building the roster with a high priced quarterback as part of the equation.

This offseason scenario would give you a rough lineup on both sides of the ball of:

QB: Kirk Cousins
RB: Booker/Henderson/Michel
WR1: Thomas
WR2: Sanders
SLOT: Eifert/C.Henderson
TE: Heuerman/Butt
LT: Bolles
LG: Hernandez
C: Paradis
RG: Leary
RT: Fleming/Rookie

LDE: Wolfe/Walker
NT: Peko/Rookie
RDE: Gotsis/Harris
LOLB: Miller/Carter
ILB: Marshall
S/LB: Cravens/Parks
FS: Simmons
SS: Stewart
LCB: Oliver/Harris
NCB: Harris
RCB: Roby

That doesn’t sound too terrible to me. I think that team would be competing for a title in no time.
