Trade pick no. 5 to Buffalo Bills for picks 21, 22, 56, 65

Use top two picks on Will Hernandez, Isaiah Oliver

The Broncos have some obvious holes yet on the roster, including at offensive guard, cornerback, and linebacker.

I think this year’s draft is going to prove very deep throughout at the linebacker position, and it’s really deep just in general.

Thus, the Broncos would benefit from making a move down like this, acquiring a ton of additional draft capital to continue building the roster, and using those top two picks on Will Hernandez (LG, UTEP) and Isaiah Oliver (CB, Colorado).

Hernandez has familiarity with new Broncos OL coach Sean Kugler, who was his college coach at UTEP. Oliver obviously has local ties and the Broncos sent their entire scouting and front office contingent to his pro day.

If you could get Oliver in round one, your depth at the position wouldn’t be an issue obviously.

The loss of Aqib Talib has left a bad taste in our mouths, but bringing in a local prospect with elite length and ball skills could definitely help ease the pain.

Hernandez would immediately be your starting left guard, and would give the Broncos a fearsome interior trio of he, Matt Paradis, and Ron Leary.
