Trade for S/LB Su’a Cravens

It was reported a couple of weeks ago that the Denver Broncos were interested in trading for Washington Redskins linebacker/safety Su’a Cravens, a former second round pick out of USC who was out all last season.

Although there is a history of injuries here, Cravens didn’t necessarily miss all of last season with one. He left the Redskins and just recently was reinstated to the league.

Immediately upon his reinstatement, it was rumored the Redskins would be willing to trade him. Then Jay Gruden said publicly that the team wasn’t trying to trade him after the rumors of Denver’s interest came about.

According to Broncos insider Mike Klis, the trade talks are not dead.

If the Broncos could get Cravens, it would bring a physical presence to their secondary and a player that could possibly play quite a bit in the box as a linebacker as well.

Cravens is the matchup player the Broncos need to cover running backs and tight ends when healthy, and if he can be had for a mid-round pick (as all players seemingly can, nowadays), then this would be a great value for Denver.
