Thursday evening, the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a trade to send Aqib Talib out west. Here are some of the Twitter reactions.
Another member of the No Fly Zone is no longer with the Denver Broncos. Aqib Talib has been dealt to the Los Angeles Rams. In exchange, the Broncos received a fifth round draft pick. Which brings them to eleven picks in this yearβs draft.
There is no doubt that Aqib Talib played such a big part in the Denver Broncos defense since 2014. He was instrumental in leading the Denver Broncos to Super Bowl 50. I would agree to say that if it was not for his pick six in the season opener against the Ravens, Denver might not be where they are.
The No Fly Zone was a special unit. Now only Chris Harris Jr., Bradley Roby, and Darian Stewart remain. The crowd was electric whenever Talib returned an interception for a touchdown. I know one of my favorite memories of Aqib Talib was his pick six of Geno Smith in New York. It was the first Broncos game I went to and it helped close the door on a victory.
There are plenty of memories that the chain snatching cornerback brought to Broncos Country. Some of what he did was questionable and had us scratching our heads. However, it was his charisma, dedication, and leadership that grew onto the hearts of all of the Denver Broncos fans.
Broncos Country had a lot of nice things to say about Aqib Talib. A lot were shocked when it happened. Here are some of the reactions to the trade. First up, here is Aqib Talibβs farewell message, via my Twitter.
No @AqibTalib21, thank you for everything! Good luck in Los Angeles! pic.twitter.com/EYNiawW1GU

Few players I enjoyed covering more than @AqibTalib21. Was electric guitar in acoustic world. Man does he know football. Could explain a coverage or an opposing offense with clarity in snap. Teammates loved edge he brought to the field. Made mistakes, but always had their back.

Aqib Talib's career as a Bronco:
β Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala) March 9, 2018
183 total tackles, 11 INTs, 6 pick-sixes (franchise record), Broncos record for longest pick-6 (103 yds), 2 forced fumbles, 48 PBUs, 1 sack, 4 Pro Bowls, 1 1st-team all-pro, 1 SB title.
Now he's a Los Angeles Ram. https://t.co/83KkO0xZ8q
Yeah yeah yeah, I know the Broncos are getting something in the form of cap space & a low draft pick by trading Talib instead of the expected nothing... but sigh.

For the kind of talent Talib is? Yes. For this situation? I donβt think so.

Heβs 32 and teams could have waited the Broncos out, forcing them to release him. Somethingβs better than nothing. https://t.co/wjJVOD47oD
The divorce between Talib and the #Broncos was amicable. They have agreed to divide all of Michael Crabtreeβs jewelry equally, per @AdamSchefter
