Low-risk, high-reward trades the Denver Broncos should make

The next trade that I think would be smart for the Broncos to work out is to send a late round pick this year to the Redskins along with a future conditional pick in exchange for safety/linebacker Su’a Cravens and a late round pick in this year’s draft.

Essentially, the Broncos would move down a round on day three (so, you could pick a fourth for a fifth, or fifth for a sixth, or what have you) and then give a conditional pick in next year’s draft (up to a fourth) depending if this guy is on the team.

Something you have to consider with Cravens — his injury history and the fat that he just left the team that employs him for a year.

Jay Gruden said the Redskins weren’t trading him, but Mike Klis said the trade talks are not dead. I think the Redskins would deal him if the price were right.

The Broncos need someone that can match up against running backs and tight ends, and Cravens’ type is the way of the future in the NFL.

At just 22 years of age, Cravens would help the Broncos get younger at a low cost in terms of draft compensation.
