Low-risk, high-reward trades the Denver Broncos should make

The first trade idea I have is to throw a day three draft pick at the Minnesota Vikings for wide receiver Laquon Treadwell.

Vikings might read this and wonder why such horrible value for a former first round pick.

Well, how often has he seen the field? How much do the Vikings value their other players at this position? Stefon Diggs might get the franchise tag next offseason for this team.

The Vikings are going to have to get some value for Treadwell at some point, whether it’s in the form of on-field production, or draft compensation.

I think the latter is probably more likely for them at this point.

Treadwell is still a very raw player but I’d take my chances if I were Denver with a new quarterback coming in, and the opportunity for Treadwell to learn from a guy that had to figure out how to become a great route runner in the NFL in Demaryius Thomas.

The Broncos could look at Treadwell as a future investment, as he’s still only 22 years old with two years remaining on his rookie contract.

Even when he’s up for a new contract, he’ll be young enough at 24 to warrant another possible investment. I would be very interested to see how this might work out.
