Demaryius Thomas & Emmanuel Sanders

The Minnesota Vikings boast Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, but I’m going to give you an interesting little nugget about that duo…

Diggs is a free agent after this coming season.

That doesn’t mean he would be gone, not by a longshot. The Vikings, at worst, could franchise tag him. But that would create a domino effect of other moves happening on their roster, weakening the defensive side of the ball, and one of the biggest things in Minnesota’s favor right now.

I think Thielen and Diggs are obviously a great, young, up-and-coming duo in this league, but the Broncos have a duo of their own that is roughly the same age as Kirk Cousins (both Thomas and Sanders are 30, Cousins is 29).

Despite Thomas and Sanders both coming off of down years, these two are still top tier players at their position.

Along with Thomas and Sanders, the Broncos have an interesting connection on the roster in Bennie Fowler, who could be back as a restricted free agent. Fowler and Cousins crossed paths while at Michigan State.

Denver also has an explosive slot receiver in Carlos Henderson coming up, and would have the cap flexibility to be able to possibly sign Cousins’ pal from Washington Ryan Grant as a backup receiver if they want.

But the big selling point here is the duo of Thomas and Sanders. If you’re signing a short-term contract with a team, why not pair up with these veteran guys and make a run at a championship?
