First Round, Fifth Overall

I know a lot of Broncos Country are not going to like what I have to say. But my prediction is that Kirk Cousins will sign elsewhere. I think it ultimately comes down to the pay day. I believe that another team will make an offer that the Denver Broncos just cannot match.

With that being said, I think the Denver Broncos will still find a veteran presence in free agency and sign him. But that opens the door to the future. Josh Rosen went first overall to the Cleveland Browns.  And Quenton Nelson went second to the New York Giants. Saquon Barkley went fourth to the Browns.

The Denver Broncos need a quarterback. Who is still on the board? The polarizing star from Oklahoma. Baker Mayfield goes to the Denver Broncos at number five.

While there are some off the field and maturity issues to deal with, I believe this would be a safe pick for the Denver Broncos. He looked solid at the combine and his performance in college cannot be ignored.
