Day Three Needs, Recap

The Broncos would be in a pretty good position in this scenario, in terms of addressing their needs.

At this point, they would have filled their hole at quarterback with the combination of Case Keenum and Mason Rudolph, who would join Paxton Lynch and Chad Kelly to give the Broncos a huge upgrade at the position from what they had.

You would also be replacing C.J. Anderson offensively with Devontae Booker and De’Angelo Henderson, then adding Nick Chubb into the fray as a guy that can carry a load if need be.

In free agency, it wouldn’t surprise me in this scenario to see the Broncos get someone like Josh Sitton to play left guard and Cameron Fleming at right tackle, giving them plenty of options while also adding Martinas Rankin to the mix as either a tackle, guard, or possibly center to eventually replace Matt Paradis.

The Broncos would also be filling arguably their biggest defensive need at linebacker with Roquan Smith, an absolute star in the making. They would then be supplementing their secondary with one of the most aggressive, versatile players in Jessie Bates out of Wake Forest.

This is a draft class I would be fully on board with, and I think on day three, the Broncos would be able to add some depth in the trenches defensively, perhaps adding a defensive lineman that can play inside-out as well as an edge linebacker that can rush the quarterback and cover. I like USC’s Uchenna Nwosu if he’s available, but there are many others.

The Broncos could go for a receiver sometime on day three, and possibly look to add more help at linebacker and on the offensive line.

This would solve most of the Broncos’ most pressing issues, and I think help get them back into playoff contention now and into the future.
