Third Round (pick 2/2): Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia

Nick Chubb is not going to be the running back in this year’s draft that sets the track on fire in the 40-yard dash.

He may not even be as good of an NFL prospect as his Georgia teammate Sony Michel.

He’s not as shifty as Saquon Barkley.

All of that said, I think Chubb is one of the smartest runners in this year’s draft and understands when and where to make his cuts, and he is decisive in that regard.

He runs with great balance and patience, and is capable of breaking arm tackles with great lower body strength and constantly keeping his legs going.

Chubb also came back from a significant leg injury, and has shown the type of toughness you love to see in a running back, especially one coming back from that type of injury.
