Denver Broncos: Bring Paul Richardson Back To Colorado
Whether there’s change at wide receiver or not, the Denver Broncos should sign former Colorado Buffaloes and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Paul Richardson…
Whether Thomas and Sanders are retained or not, the Broncos should look at bolstering the depth at the position.
This is where free agent Paul Richardson comes in. Richardson has steadily made a name for himself with the Seattle Seahawks. However, it seems the production for Richardson and his talent do not match.

Richardson has 700-1,000+ yard receiving potential. In some ways it parallels that of Sanders with the Steelers. Both Richardson and Sanders underproduced with great quarterbacks because of a more dominant figure in the passing game.
Like Sanders, Richardson is a slippery target making it difficult to neutralize anything he does. Undoubtedly, Richardson has the makings to be a true number two in the NFL. If the Broncos decided to move on from Sanders after this next year, the team would have its heir apparent in Richardson. There now comes to question, the cost.
It is a head scratcher. Since Richardson and Sanders are very similar in style, there could be more on the table because of how teams view his ceiling. But, the best scenario for the Broncos is getting Richardson on a three-year or four-year. The team could make it a little less on the guarantees making it reasonable for both parties.
There is a point to ponder as we near NFL Free Agency. The Broncos might not look to add wide receiver depth because of Carlos Henderson still in their back pocket. But this is at least food for thought.
