With all the rumors swirling around what will happen to the Denver Broncos veterans, one name that might be sticking around is Emmanuel Sanders.

During this offseason, Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas have been the subject of multiple rumors. Most of those revolve around them not sticking around. On  a team that is looking to make a free agency splash, one or both receivers might not stick around. It looks as if at least one of them will in fact stay in Denver in 2018.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, he went on the NFL Total Access show to proclaim that the Denver Broncos do not intend on trading Emmanuel Sanders this offseason. He also hinted at Thomas staying with the team, but did not provide a lot of detail on it.

Sanders is due around ten million dollars this season. From a financial standpoint, it does not make the most sense. But as Rapoport explained, the Broncos do plan on looking to bring a big time veteran quarterback to the team. Having a solid wide out corps in Denver could help lure that quarterback to join the team. Therefore, from a standpoint at winning games, it would make little sense to trade Sanders.

Looking at the wide receivers behind him is not exactly a goldmine. While Bennie Fowler, Jordan Taylor, and Cody Latimer are not by any means bad receivers, but the experience of Sanders and Thomas would lure a solid quarterback to the Mile High City.

Despite the veteran getting up there in age, it would help the new quarterback have a solid receiver or two on the field to help them. A quarterback is as good as his receivers and vice versa.

Keeping Sanders in Denver is the smart choice. It appears we might see him suit up in orange and blue for another season.
