Denver Broncos: Five underrated free agent options
Jon Bostic, LB, Indianapolis Colts
Jon Bostic is a rocked up, somewhat injury prone inside linebacker whose career seems to have been on a positive trajectory every year since he was drafted by the Chicago Bears.
Of course, things didn’t end well for Bostic with Chicago, but Bostic had a nice bounce-back season with the Colts this past year, playing in and starting 14 games, racking up 97 tackles and proving himself to be one of the top run-stuffing inside linebackers in football this past year.
At 6-foot-1, 245 pounds, Bostic has the size required to mix things up in the mud, and is an instinctive player who is only 26 years old and improving in coverage.
I think the Broncos could get Bostic at a discounted price compared to Todd Davis, and would be adding someone that could start immediately along with Brandon Marshall in the middle of their defense. This guy is tough and plays with a chip on his shoulder.
If he can stay healthy, I think he’d be a nice free agency bargain.
