The Broncos have some controllable players at this position, but they could very well be losing both Todd Davis and Corey Nelson as unrestricted free agents this offseason.

The Broncos again are striking gold at this position as there is depth both in free agency and the NFL Draft.

Avery Williamson, Preston Brown, Demario Davis, Christian Jones, and a number of others headline a strong unrestricted free agent linebacker class, but the Broncos would obviously have to be certain they were getting a player at a discounted price compared to Todd Davis, which would be the primary reason for this need existing.

More likely, the Broncos could find a sure-fire starter in this year’s draft class, which includes studs all over the place, starting with Georgia’s Roquan Smith and Virginia Tech’s Tremaine Edmunds, and extending down the board to Boise State’s Leighton Vander Esch and a ton of other prospects worth targeting.

I think the Broncos are really in a favorable position to do whatever they want here at this spot, whether they sign a veteran at a discounted price or go after a player on the draft’s first two days.
