The Broncos’ top need this offseason is obviously the quarterback position. I don’t think there’s any shortage of articles written about that at this point.

So far this offseason, I have already outlined my top 10 scenarios at the position, as well as a list of scenarios I would not like to see happen.

I would highly encourage you to bookmark those posts for any future reference of how things may shake out over the course of the next month. Of course, by the time free agency starts, a lot of those options will be out-dated.

The great news for the Broncos having this need right now is this: The free agency class and draft class are both strong in terms of options to add players.

It’s not every offseason you have to whittle a list of quarterback options down to 10 good ones.

There are a number of options that would satisfy me for the Broncos this offseason, and they could really even go for a number of different styles of quarterback.

Denver’s top two options to me are either signing Kirk Cousins or drafting someone with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

If they do not do one of those two things, I don’t know if I will be satisfied. There are certainly economical approaches to the quarterback position this offseason, but Cousins or the top five pick have to be the route the Broncos go. They have a nice luxury of being able to pursue Cousins and see how that all works out before spending that top five pick.
