Doug Pederson’s coaching in Super Bowl 52 took a lot of guts, but it got the job done. Perhaps Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph can learn from him.

Vance Joseph has a tough going during his first season as Denver Broncos head coach. The team went 5-11. It would be Denver’s first losing season under John Elway. Not to mention it is their first since the Josh McDaniels era.

The conservative and limited playbook was one of the many downfalls in Joseph’s first year. The running game was abandoned, offensive line got almost no help, the list goes on. It was really difficult to see.

Doug Pederson helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to their first Super Bowl title. Some of the biggest plays of that game was some of the gutsy play calling. The fourth and goal call that resulted in a Nick Foles touchdown reception was perhaps the biggest turning point of the game to that point.

It showed how much confidence he had in his offense. It showed how much of a difference between the coaching styles of Pederson and Joseph. I believe that Vance Joseph can learn a lot from this Super Bowl.

If he plans on sticking around with the Denver Broncos, he needs to be more aggressive. Do not abandon something just because of one bad play. And most importantly, do not give up on your players.

If Jamaal Charles was utilized more this season, I believe that could have made a big difference. Spelling C.J. Anderson could have gone a long way. However, that was not the case.

Vance Joseph will have a lot to look on from this Super Bowl if he plans on bringing the Denver Broncos back to the Super Bowl. If not, I do not see him sticking around for long.
